...and advanced tactical K9 topics
Bite-Works is not a beginner program. Wade's curriculum is designed for experienced handlers, working teams and elite units who need real answers under real pressure.
We start with your dog. Drive, grip, targeting, environmental confidence, every team is profiled before the first sleeve goes on.
The 3-Prong Approach: technical decoy work, handler integration, and scenario pressure. Repetition with intent, never repetition for its own sake.
You leave with a complete working dog. Sharper targeting, cleaner outs, and a handler who knows exactly what their partner can do on the street.
Working-dog problems aren't generic. Bite-Works diagnoses the root cause and builds a targeted plan for your specific dog and team.
Courses run year-round across the U.S. Reach out for upcoming dates, on-site hosting, or to design a custom curriculum for your agency.
A complete operational decoy course covering exposed sleeve, hidden sleeve and bite-suit mechanics under pressure. Built for teams who want their fundamentals combat-ready.

Course detailsWade Morrell built Bite-Works on a simple belief: a working K9 should be ready for whatever the street presents, not just a familiar target on a familiar field.
In 2009 Wade was asked to design the tactical K9 curriculum for the industry's largest police and military canine training company. Since then he's instructed hundreds of military and police personnel, including elite units such as U.S. Army Special Forces and USMC Special Operations Command, and has been invited to Brazil, Colombia and beyond to work with specialized K9 teams.
His 10 Targets of Opportunity™ system and 3-Prong Approach are now standards in agencies that take their K9 program seriously. Wade is a current law enforcement officer assigned to his department's K9 unit at a suburban Columbus, Ohio agency, and remains current in his state certification.
The only person to complete Bite-Works' 3-year instructor certification.
Chris Rice is an active law enforcement K9 handler with deep operational experience across narcotics detection, tracking, building searches, and apprehension work. He has built and overseen K9 programs, led multi-agency training, and developed new handler teams from the ground up.
As a tactical K9 instructor, Chris teaches targeting, timing, and pressure application that produces confident, controlled, reliable dogs. Not trial-field performers.
He has traveled internationally alongside Wade twice, training elite units in Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, and Panama, and has worked with multiple U.S. Special Forces units and SWAT teams stateside.
His instruction is street-first, fundamentals-driven, and built around one standard: the dog has to work when it counts.
Bite-Works is headquartered in Columbus, Ohio and travels year-round for on-site police K9, military working dog, and SWAT K9 instruction. Hours: By Appointment. Call 614.537.7171 to host a course at your agency.
